Anna Cressey

Business Director

Anna Cressey – affectionately known as “The First Lady of Cressey Sports Performance” – has been a part of the #CSPFamily since its inception in 2007, as she is married to CSP President, Eric Cressey. Professionally, while she serves as business director at CSP-FL, she’s actually Dr. Anna Cressey – an optometrist licensed in both Florida and Massachusetts. Anna graduated with a degree in biochemistry from Bates College, and then undertook her optometry training at the New England College of Optometry. She specializes in cornea and contact lens topics.

Personally, she’s “Mom” to three daughters – Lydia, Addison, and Teagan – as well as “Second Mom” to hundreds of professional baseball players. You’ll find Anna crushing lifting heavy things alongside some of the nation’s top athletes at CSP.

Welcome to Cressey Sports Performance

Over the years, Eric Cressey’s given this lecture to more than 10,000 coaches, players, sports medicine professionals and enthusiasts and it’s been a huge hit. In the video, you will observe a lot of our CSP athletes training and learn:

  • Why different athletes need different approaches to power development?

  • Why it’s essential that you learn to train outside the sagittal plane?
  • Which medicine ball and plyometric variations I use with baseball players?
  • Why not all throwers have identical deceleration patterns or training needs?

  • How your arm care programs can be improved to reduce the risk of injury and improve throwing velocity?
